Vein Conditions and Treatments
- Restless leg syndrome (RLS): studies have demonstrated a relationship between RLS and venous reflux, which can lead to throbbing, aching, cramping, and fatigue in the legs. Patients suffering from these symptoms can experience significant improvement in their condition following Endovenous Laser treatment.
- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): DVT is extremely rare, though patients can inherit blood coagulopathies, which can predispose them to clot formations. Common symptoms are extreme tenderness, redness, and swelling in the area of the thrombosis formation. Doppler Ultrasound is used to diagnose DVT, and management requires an anti-coagulate with heparin therapy.
To schedule a consultation for any one of these disorders, as well as other leg vein problems you may be experiencing, contact Dr. Hunt and the Vein and Cosmetic Center of Tampa Bay.
